Dubois missed Washington's season finale Tuesday due to what was previously classified as an upper-body injury. The Capitals didn't make the playoffs, so Dubois has plenty of time to focus on his recovery. The 27-year-old is hoping to avoid surgery and be fine in a month or two. He finished 2025-26 with five goals and 19 points in 29 outings.

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Adds helper in last home game
Ovechkin notched an assist, placed three shots on net and dished out five hits in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Penguins.
Ovechkin slid the primary helper on Connor McMichael's empty-net goal late in the third period to seal the win for the Capitals. Sunday's game marked what could potentially be the last home game of Ovechkin's career if the Capitals don't make the Stanley Cup Playoffs and if the 40-year-old winger decides to hang up his skates after 21 successful seasons in the NHL. Ovechkin has eight goals and 12 points over his last 13 games, but Washington still sits one point out of a playoff spot. He'll look to end the regular season, and possibly his career, on a high note in Tuesday's road clash against the Blue Jackets.

With the multi-apple outing, Fehervary is up to 22 assists, 27 points, 72 shots on net, 110 hits and 174 blocked shots through 80 games this season. He's heating up offensively with five points over his last four games, and Fehervary has managed to maintain his category-coverage stats during that span. The steady blueliner sits just two blocked shots shy of cracking the league's top five defensemen in that category, giving him a chance to do so in Washington's final game of the regular season Tuesday against the Blue Jackets.

Capitals' Connor McMichael: Grabs trio of points Sunday
McMichael scored two goals, distributed an assist and put two shots on net in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Penguins.

With his trio of points, McMichael is up to 14 goals, 32 assists, 142 shots on net, 45 hits and 44 blocked shots across 77 games this season. The 25-year-old forward has been a frequent contributor to Washington's offense of late with four goals and 11 points over his last nine games. McMichael is a solid waiver-wire pickup in most fantasy formats that track category coverage ahead of the Caps' last game of the regular season Tuesday.

While he has just three goals this season, his tally was important for Washington's playoff hopes, as the Capitals now sit just one point out of the final playoff spot in the Metropolitan Division. Van Riemsdyk has been a steady source of blocked shots of late with 14 over his last eight games.
